Why I Created Weekend Adventures
Hi, I’m Sarah, and I believe that no one should have to travel alone when God designed us to thrive in fellowship with other believers.
Back in 2018, I had this dream to explore other countries. But when my family said no and my friends were too busy, I was left with two options: join an organized tour or travel solo. I chose to go it alone because I didn’t want someone else planning my every move—and I wanted the freedom to build rest and time with the Lord into my trip.
That solo trip taught me a lot: about myself, about faith, and about the unique joys and challenges of traveling alone. It also opened my eyes to how many others were searching for like-minded community on their travels.
Today, as the Director of Travel Ministries for Christian Travelers’ Network, I’ve built a membership dedicated to connecting Christian travelers, helping them share their journeys with one another. But I realized something—many people hesitate to take that first leap into travel.
That’s why, in 2025, I’m setting out to change that. My goal is to help 10,000 Christian Travelers step into community and experience God’s creation on Weekend Adventures around the globe.

The fee helps cover the cost of reserving the venue, Bible study supplies, and other materials for your time together. You will be responsible for meals, activities, transportation, and housing.
